Thibs short bench was also a concern for me because the team was so young and needed development. Players would go from zero playing time to starting (for example, recently Josh Okogie). I do need to give him credit because players would jump in and perform, but the lack of development supported a win-now mindset in a that-won’t-happen Western Conference. He was not able to build for the future even though that was clearly needed and he was given a multiple year contract to do so.
